Addiction Recovery Counseling Internship

within our

Holyoke Transitional Support Services (TSS) Program , which provides recovery-focused support to men navigating substance use challenges. Why Choose BHN for Your Internship? BHN Holyoke TSS (Transitional Support Services)

is an all-male TSS program in Western Massachusetts. TSS offers an individualized, holistic approach to recovery through integrative treatment planning, substance use counseling, mental health and medical related goals, outcomes, and interventions. What You'll Do as an Intern

As an

Addiction Recovery Counseling Intern , you'll develop skills and confidence in addiction recovery work by: Learning the intake process, including screening, assessment, and orientation Providing supervised case management and referrals for a small caseload Assisting with treatment planning and providing psychoeducation to clients Shadowing and co-facilitating psychoeducational groups and counseling sessions Observing and supporting crisis intervention services Completing documentation, reports, and clinical record keeping under supervision Collaborating with program staff and consulting with interdisciplinary providers Building understanding of co-occurring disorders and recovery-focused care Who You Are Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Associate's, or certificate program in a related field (required) Working toward CADC or LADC II certification (preferred) Familiarity with substance use treatment and co-occurring populations (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, professional, and eager to learn in a residential recovery setting Internship Details Flexible hours based on college program requirements Unpaid placement for academic credit only We Hire for Purpose!
