Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist
Location:
Middle River, MD Schedule:
3 days per week
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Accounts Payable Specialist
to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of invoices in a fast-paced environment. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Verify approvals on all invoices and check requests
Code incoming invoices and complete 3-point matching on purchase order invoices
Prepare and process checks
Update and maintain vendor database
Process and enter 100-200 invoices per week
Convert vendors to ACH payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Process and follow up on rush items
Maintain accounts payable files through scanning and digital storage
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Utilize MS Word, Excel, and (ideally) e-Automate software
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
Required: Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
Familiarity with entry-level accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work with all levels of management
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with computerized accounting systems
