Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Structural Bridge Project Engineer
to join our transportation and infrastructure team. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a structural focus who is passionate about designing resilient, high-performance bridges and infrastructure projects across Texas.
As a Structural Bridge Project Engineer, you will manage the
planning, design, and delivery of structural components
for public and private sector clients, including
TxDOT , municipalities, counties, and special districts (MUDs). The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader and mentor within a dynamic, collaborative team.
Responsibilities
Lead the planning and structural design of
bridges, junction boxes, retaining walls , and water/wastewater plant structures. Manage structural design efforts on multiple simultaneous projects for
TxDOT, cities, counties, MUDs, and tolling authorities . Prepare and review design plans, specifications, estimates, and technical calculations for bridge and transportation-related projects. Perform and oversee
QA/QC reviews , ensuring compliance with applicable design codes, client standards, and industry best practices. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to
EITs and engineering interns , fostering growth and professional development. Attend design meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve issues and develop strong relationships. Conduct occasional
field-based activities , including site visits, inspections, and coordination with construction services. Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables; participate in proposal and contract development. Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives, business development, and client retention. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Civil Engineering
with a focus in
Structural Engineering . Master's degree
in Structural Engineering preferred. Minimum
5 years of experience
in the structural design of
concrete bridges
and related infrastructure. Demonstrated experience delivering plans and specifications for clients such as
TxDOT, municipalities, and counties . Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
in the state of Texas. Valid
Texas driver's license
and insurable driving record. Proficiency in structural engineering software such as: Bridge Geometry System (BGS) OpenBridge Designer LEAP Bridge STAAD ,
Robot ,
Bridge Link , or similar tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and project management skills. About Us
