Senior Global Freight & Cargo Specialist
and take charge of the logistics for transporting project cargo around the globe. You will play a crucial role in ensuring oversized equipment and critical project materials are delivered safely, on time, and in full compliance with trade regulations as they enter the US market. What You'll Be Responsible For: Coordinating
multi-modal shipments
(truck, rail, ocean, air) tailored for intricate project cargo. Collaborating closely with
freight forwarders, customs brokers, and suppliers
to guarantee seamless cross-border transport. Supporting project proposals by delivering insightful
transportation studies and budgetary pricing . Developing and implementing
logistics plans
that align strategically with project timelines and budget objectives. Negotiating and managing contracts with logistics service providers. Monitoring shipment progress, addressing any issues proactively, and keeping all stakeholders updated. Mentoring junior logistics professionals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within logistics operations. What We’re Seeking: 7+ years of experience in
transportation/logistics management
(experience in EPC, industrial, or heavy project cargo preferred). Proven background in moving
engineered or fabricated equipment
within industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or transmission. Strong familiarity with
Incoterms, import/export compliance, and trade regulations . Demonstrated expertise in managing
oversized/heavy-haul shipments . Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics reporting tools. Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
