Job Description: Accounting Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a passion for improving financial operations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting audits.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general ledger account reconciliations with accuracy and timeliness
Investigate and resolve aging balances on the balance sheet
Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and enhance operational efficiency
Research and document financial discrepancies
Collaborate with team members to address large balance sheet account issues
Support external audits and assist with new account reconciliations
Maintain thorough and organized documentation of accounting activities
Qualifications
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Hands-on experience with general ledger reconciliation
Strong analytical skills to research and resolve discrepancies
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Prior operational accounting experience is preferred

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.50/hr.
