We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Environmental Field Technician
to support environmental investigations, sampling, and remediation projects across Texas. This role involves working both indoors and outdoors in various conditions, collecting environmental data, and assisting our staff in preparing assessment and regulatory compliance reports. Be willing to learn on the job tasks to operate field instrumentation, construction equipment, prepare bids, and learn technical writing skills. Be willing to obtain certain environmental certifications and licenses related to the job and work at hand as needed by the company.
Work Location:
I n person at CRG Texas Environmental Services, Inc in Rosenberg, TX
Key Responsibilities:
Provide labor and equipment operations support for environmental remediation and construction projects.
Conduct field inspections and collect soil, water, air, and groundwater samples.
Operate and maintain field equipment such as water sampling devices, vehicles, soil gas meters, and GPS units.
Perform basic field tests to assess contamination levels.
Maintain accurate field notes, logs, and chain-of-custody documentation.
Assist in the development and implementation of environmental remediation plans.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
Support the preparation of environmental impact assessments and technical reports.
Communicate findings and observations to project managers and environmental scientists.
Work under the supervision of senior technicians and project managers
Required Qualifications:
Valid clean driver’s license and ability to travel to field sites across Texas.
Ability to lift 45+ pounds, walk long distances and work in various weather and terrain conditions.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques and equipment.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
Experience with GIS or environmental data management tools.
Previous fieldwork or environmental field / consultant experience.
