Description Assess and evaluate patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using established assessment tools and observational insights. Craft individualized treatment strategies tailored to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy sessions centered on aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Engage in collaborative efforts with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to devise comprehensive care plans. Provide educational resources to patients and families to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a consistent care trajectory throughout the patient experience. Document all patient interactions and treatment notes promptly in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies. Commit to ongoing professional development through education and teamwork with peers in the field. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Licensed as a
Speech Language Pathologist
in the state of Florida. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
In-depth knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques for all age groups, with a focus on both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
