Position Summary:
The
Maintenance Electromechanic
is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role participates in and facilitates equipment improvements, retrofits, enhancements, and major overhauls. The Maintenance Electromechanic applies advanced electrical and mechanical skills to maintain production continuity and support the overall reliability of the facility.
Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems across all plant equipment. Diagnose and resolve issues with AC and DC motors, motor control circuits, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, boilers, and steam generators. Participate in equipment retrofits, enhancements, and overhauls to improve performance and reliability. Perform basic welding, machining, and industrial millwright tasks as required. Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, repairs, and modifications. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency. Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations. Assist in training and mentoring other maintenance personnel as needed. Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in electromechanics preferred. Advanced understanding of electrical theory and motor control circuits. Strong experience with AC and DC motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, boilers, and steam generators. Basic welding, machining, and industrial millwright skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively. Must successfully complete the PSC Electromechanic evaluation test. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems independently. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Preferred Skills:
Experience in corrugated packaging, converting, or similar manufacturing environments. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and industrial automation systems. Forklift and rigging experience. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong organizational and documentation skills.
