Job Description

The

Behavioral Health (BH) Community Career Coordinator

plays a vital role in connecting University Health Behavioral Health clients with employment opportunities in the community. This includes coordinating job development, on-site job training, ongoing employment support, and building strong partnerships with local employers and stakeholders.

Working with individuals—many of whom live with mental health challenges or other disabilities—the Career Coordinator provides both one-on-one and group support to help participants prepare for, secure, and succeed in competitive employment. This role also involves meeting productivity and documentation standards, performing occasional administrative tasks, and operating under the guidance of the Employment Services Team Leader.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (preferred in psychology, rehabilitation, social services, social work, business administration, or a related field)

At least 2 years of experience in rehabilitation, sales, or a related field

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Valid driver’s license and ability to meet University Health’s Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy requirements

Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Positive, energetic, and compassionate attitude, with patience and care for individuals in the program

Successful completion of required training within the designated time frame

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience supporting individuals with disabilities in an employment-focused setting
