Responsibilities
The Tactical Networks Program Office (PMW 160), within Program Executive Office (PEO) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I), provides cyber secure, accredited, and reliable integrated local and wide area networks (WANs) and foundation computing systems to support Navy, joint, and coalition forces across geographically dispersed locations. These networks enable critical command and control capabilities.
PMW 160 comprises four divisions: Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES), Future Capabilities, Platform Application Services (PAS), and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
Position Overview
Noblis is seeking an experienced
Senior Model-Based Systems Engineer
to join our team supporting PMW 160. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to develop sophisticated digital models, architectural products, and digital artifacts for naval systems and System-of-Systems (SoS) deployments. You will drive the implementation of MBSE methodologies that enhance system design, integration, and verification while ensuring alignment with DoD standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive digital system models using SysML and related modeling languages Champion MBSE methodologies to improve requirements management, system architecture definition, and interface control Collaborate cross-functionally with software, hardware, and cybersecurity engineers to ensure design consistency and seamless integration Establish and maintain robust requirements traceability within models to preserve design integrity throughout the development lifecycle Conduct sophisticated technical analyses using system models to evaluate performance parameters and identify potential design issues Develop high-quality model-based artifacts that guide development activities and support integration and verification efforts Design and implement digital threads that connect engineering disciplines including cyber and configuration management Evaluate and enhance MBSE workflows, tool implementations, and methodologies to improve efficiency and automation Mentor junior engineers in MBSE practices and promote model-based culture across the organization
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in engineering, operations research, mathematics, statistics, or related technical field where advanced mathematical skills are applied 10+ years of hands-on experience performing Model-Based Systems Engineering in complex environments
OR bachelor's degree + 12 years of experience OR associate's degree +15 years of experience OR high school diploma + 18 years of experience.
Proficiency with MBSE principles and methodologies TS/SCI is required U.S. Citizenship is required
Desired Qualifications
Expert knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Modeling Language (UML) Extensive experience with MBSE toolsets such as MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler, Sparx System Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, or System Architect Strong understanding of DoD Architecture Framework/Unified Architecture Framework (DoDAF/UAF) Navy programs for both surface and submarines Experience with CANES and ADNS Experience in developing new capabilities

USD $107,100.00 - USD $167,325.00 /Yr.
