About the Role:
The Lead Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. The Lead Maintenance Technician will oversee and perform troubleshooting and repair activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. This role requires collaboration with production, engineering, and quality teams to support process improvements and equipment upgrades. Ultimately, the Lead Maintenance Technician ensures that all maintenance activities contribute to a safe, reliable, and productive manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Perform and oversee troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to proactively address equipment issues.
Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Perform small automation changeovers.
Repair chillers, thermolators, loader systems, grinders and resin dryers.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support equipment installation, upgrades, and process improvements.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems used in manufacturing equipment
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery and equipment
Previous experience working with injection molding machines
Proficiency with automation systems
Experience with servo motors
Familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus
Experience with ERP systems, SAP
