Job Description: The ideal candidate (will be expected to perform) is a senior-level technical role responsible for hands-on electronic systems support across contractor and government operations. This position requires an experienced technician who will perform complex troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, and repair of sophisticated electronic systems and test equipment, including digital/analog circuits, RF systems, and automated test equipment (ATE). The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed electronic systems testing using precision measurement equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers, while maintaining comprehensive maintenance logs and calibration records in accordance with ISO 17025 and military standards. This role demands expertise in reading and interpreting technical schematics, engineering drawings, and test procedures, along with the ability to perform component-level repairs, system modifications, and hardware integration. The position combines practical technical skills with documentation responsibilities, including writing detailed technical reports, maintaining equipment histories, updating standard operating procedures, and training junior technicians on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures, all while adhering to strict quality control standards and safety protocols within a classified environment.
The candidate performs the following specific assignments:
Minimum 12 years of experience in the development and implementation of electronics systems
Supports complex electronic systems design and development
Provides technical support for electronic systems integration
Designs advanced electronic circuits and systems
Conducts technical reviews and approves engineering changes
Mentors junior engineers and technicians
Experience Required:
Associates degree in Electronics Technology or an Engineering discipline
At least Twelve (12) years of full-time experience with at least 8 years supporting the Department of Defense
Experience in the operation, maintenance, design, or testing of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems and equipment
Motivated to independently achieve results
Experience Desired:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
Professional Engineering (PE) license
Certification from Navy Electronics Technician “A” and “C” schools
