(2) Electrical Controls Engineers
to join a well-established and growing industrial equipment manufacturer with over 50 years of engineering excellence. One opportunity is ideal for a
junior to mid-level candidate with at least 2+ years of relevant experience , and the other is targeted for a
senior-level engineer with more years of hands-on experience
in electrical design, programming, controls, and industrial automation.
This is your chance to join a team that builds large-scale electromechanical systems from concept through completion. From food production lines to custom process and water treatment equipment, you'll be working on machinery that makes a real-world impact.
Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and program industrial electrical control systems to meet engineering and client requirements • Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using
AutoCAD Electrical
or similar design software • Specify, select, and configure control system components such as PLCs, VFDs, relays, sensors, and breakers • Program PLCs and HMIs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms preferred) • Layout and design control panels and motor control centers (MCCs) • Perform validation testing and troubleshoot electrical systems during build and final assembly • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and production teams to ensure full integration • Provide technical documentation including BOMs, manuals, wiring lists, and startup procedures • Travel as needed for commissioning and system validation (minimal and planned in advance) • Stay current with evolving industry technology, best practices, and safety standards
Qualifications:
We are hiring for two experience levels.
Candidates must meet the criteria for one of the following profiles:
Junior to Mid-Level Role: • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical controls, panel design, or related engineering environment • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar drafting tools • Working knowledge of industrial components and safety regulations • Basic PLC programming knowledge or exposure to automation software • Strong interest in hands-on engineering, testing, and troubleshooting • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
Senior-Level Role: • Experience in electrical controls and industrial automation • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and strong PLC/HMI programming experience • Deep understanding of UL, NEC, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standards • Demonstrated success leading projects or contributing to complex custom machinery builds • Ability to mentor junior team members and drive design improvements • Background in electromechanical system design and manufacturing support
What Makes This Opportunity Unique: • Privately owned and financially strong company with over 50 years of proven success • All engineering and manufacturing is done in-house at our US-based facilities • Recession-resistant with projects in food processing, water treatment, packaging, and more • Work directly on high-impact custom systems from design to completion • Short lead times and an integrated design-build process • Access to a seasoned engineering team for mentorship and collaboration • Competitive salary structure with performance bonuses • Opportunities for growth into technical leadership or project management • Continued access to learning and development in electrical, automation, and mechanical engineering • Team-focused culture that values practical problem-solving, quality, and innovation
Traits That Set You Up for Success: • Detail-oriented and self-driven with a strong sense of accountability • Hands-on mindset and curiosity to understand how systems work • Enjoy working on one-off and custom systems that challenge your engineering creativity • Collaborative and open communicator, ready to share and receive feedback • Willing to dive into troubleshooting and help bring machines across the finish line • Honest, reliable, and committed to continuous improvement
Take the Next Step in Your Career:
