As a

Membership Experience Retention Specialist , you'll be the trusted connection between Girl Scouts, our volunteers, and the families we serve. You'll nurture relationships, provide ongoing support, and ensure every girl, caregiver, and volunteer feels valued and engaged. Through thoughtful guidance, creative problem-solving, and genuine connection, you'll help ensure that every Girl Scout experience is meaningful, rewarding, and lasting.

Requirements

This full-time position is based in Baltimore, Maryland, with regular local travel throughout Central Maryland. The Retention Specialist reports to the Director of Membership Experience and typically works Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends to support volunteer trainings and community events. The role offers hybrid flexibility, with specialists spending approximately 60-65% of their time in the field meeting with volunteers, attending events, and supporting members, and the remaining time working remotely or from Baltimore HQ.

What You'll Do

Retain and Engage:

Build lasting relationships with girls, parents, volunteers, and community partners to ensure every member feels connected and supported.

Support Volunteers:

Provide coaching, training, and resources to troop leaders and volunteers to help them deliver fun, safe, and impactful experiences for girls.

Champion the Mission:

Communicate the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) and help volunteers understand how to inspire courage, confidence, and character in every activity.

Problem Solve with Heart:

Act as a trusted resource for volunteers and families, addressing questions, concerns, and challenges with empathy and professionalism.

Collaborate and Connect:

Partner with colleagues across departments to improve member satisfaction, strengthen retention strategies, and celebrate success stories.

Excellent time management and self-direction. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel. Preferred Qualifications Experience in volunteer management, community engagement, or customer service. Background in training, mentoring, or youth programming.
