Vice President / Loan Origination Officer – Commercial Real Estate Lending Location:

About the Opportunity An entrepreneurial, well-capitalized bank backed by a private family office is expanding its presence in the Nashville market. With a focus on

commercial real estate lending

and strong long-term growth plans, the bank is seeking a talented Loan Origination Officer / VP to help drive loan production, credit quality, and relationship development. This is a unique chance to join a small but growing office, work closely with senior leadership, and have a clear path toward leadership as the team scales. What You’ll Do Originate and underwrite

commercial real estate loans (typical loan size $5M–$15M; range $2M–$20M).

Source new opportunities through business development and

networking with real estate brokers, investors, debt brokers, and other referral partners .

Analyze CRE, construction, and C&I loan opportunities

by reviewing property financials, borrower/sponsor financial statements, and market data.

Prepare deal pre-screen memos, internal proformas, and underwriting packages for loan committee review.

Conduct property site visits, customer meetings, and maintain a strong market presence in Nashville.

Collaborate with deposit and underwriting teams to evaluate full client relationships and ensure smooth loan closings.

Manage a

pipeline of new opportunities

and assist with loan pipeline reporting.

Support community involvement and civic engagement to promote the bank’s visibility in the Nashville market.

What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of experience

in commercial real estate (CRE), C&I, or SBA loan origination and underwriting.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; formal commercial credit or cash flow training is a plus.

Strong

underwriting skills

with the ability to size and structure loans independently.

Balance of

relationship-building ability and technical credit expertise .

Market knowledge of Nashville CRE space, with relationships and/or ability to quickly build them.

Comfort working in an

arms-length, institutional credit environment

(vs. pure relationship/handshake lending).

Strong financial analysis and modeling skills (Excel, CoStar, Moody’s, etc.); FISERV experience a plus.

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients, brokers, and senior leadership.

On-site presence in Nashville

required.
