POSITION SUMMARY
This role is primarily responsible for the day-to-day transportation of IFG residual products from our mill locations to our customer sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Driver is responsible for doing all DOT required pre-inspection and post-inspection on a daily basis. Operates truck in accordance with DOT, state and city regulations, as well as all Company guidelines. Responsible for following electronic tracking procedures. The Driver shall follow all safety rules at all times. Experience in adverse driving conditions (gravel, snow- and mud-covered roads). The Driver is expected to attend and participate in all safety meetings and training. The Driver shall use all prescribed safety equipment that is required to safely do the job at hand. The Driver shall report unsafe acts or conditions, injuries and/or incidents to his or her immediate Supervisor or Safety Personnel. Work independently with minimal oversight. Other duties as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required. Recent graduate of a registered CDL training program. Valid Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record. Skills:
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
Ability to pass a drugtest, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs.
Bend at waist - occasional Twist upper body - occasional Stoop - occasional Repetitive use of hands - frequent for clerical duties Stand/walk - frequent Sit - occasional Vision - near and far correctable; depth perception Hearing - preferred for awareness of surrounding machinery, mobile equipment, emergencies
WORK ENVIRONMENT Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, airborne particles (sawdust).
