Oxford Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a direct hire opportunity with one of our manufacturing clients. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Okuma CNC machines and producing small precision parts.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders, to perform multiple machining operations within precise tolerances Select and set up tooling and fixtures Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions to ensure product accuracy Perform G and M code programming to control CNC operations Optimize machine parameters and tooling for improved cost, quality, and efficiency Use precision measuring instruments to maintain tight dimensional tolerances Suggest design or process improvements to enhance productivity Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Qualifications
Hands-on CNC machining experience with Okuma machines preferred Strong knowledge of blueprints, routers, and measuring tools/gauges Experience with Fanuc control systems a plus Expertise with lathes strongly preferred Excellent communication, math, and analytical skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Experience setting up CNC equipment for automated or "lights-out" production a plus ⢠High attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working near moving mechanical parts in a manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels CNC Machinist - 25-00597
