Senior Systems Engineer (Simulation Specialist).

IAMDS is a leader in Systems Engineering, driving the innovation of complex systems for the Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) mission area. Our team fosters a collaborative atmosphere where systems thinkers come together to create robust technical solutions for some of the most demanding challenges in defense. This position is onsite in Tewksbury, MA What You Will Do: Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to coordinate design plans and conduct thorough requirements analysis.

Proactively manage program technical risks by critically evaluating requirements and design aspects.

Develop and maintain sophisticated modeling tools that incorporate Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and complex time domain elements.

Model radar system functionalities including detection, discrimination, tracking, and signal processing algorithms.

Incorporate effector system concepts such as guidance and fuzing to effectively model their behaviors and performance.

Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.

An active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is necessary as only U.S. citizens can obtain the required security clearance.

Expertise in complex Digital Signal Processing and the development of intricate time domain signal models for design support and requirements analysis.

Experience in programming system models, algorithms, and analysis tools for radar requirements and performance evaluation.

Qualifications We Prefer: Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience with system requirements capture, design, and decomposition.

Knowledge of radar system concepts, including detection, discrimination, tracking, and signal processing algorithms and their performance characteristics.

Ability to interpret technical design drawings and electrical schematics.

Proven track record of taking ownership of projects and leading technical efforts across multiple stakeholders, along with effective communication skills at all organizational levels.

Experience with MATLAB for model development.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. This range represents a fair estimate for various experience levels. RTX assesses multiple factors for offers including role responsibilities, candidate experience, location, education, and key skills. Hired applicants may receive a comprehensive benefits package, which may include medical, dental, vision, and more. Specific benefits may vary depending on the business unit and whether the position falls under a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may also qualify for annual incentive programs based on performance metrics. This role is based in the U.S., and if the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, applicable pay structures and benefits will be applied.
