Position Type: Full time, Hourly Non-Exempt Work Location: 23400 Haggerty Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48335 Key Responsibilities

Lays out, fits, and assembles parts to make repair cutting tools, jogs, fixtures, gauges, dies or machinists' handtools. Sets up and operates all tool room equipments. Studies blueprints to determine machining to be done and plans layout and assembly, or copies existing parts. Produces new tools, parts, etc. for machines and equipment. Repairs/rewords tools, dies, machine parts ad performs similar work. Makes inspection when required of parts, tools, etc. Performs bench work related to job assigned. Supplies own tools normally used in a journeyman's trade. Responsible for lubrication, maintenance and car of tool room equipment. May assist General Maintenance or Machine Repair/Rebuild Person in measuring, fitting, installation or replacement of parts where his skills is required. Responsible for cleanliness of work area and machines. Reports to supervision unusual difficulties or conditions regarding machines, tools, and equipment. Completes job or daily job card. Assist in training new hires or apprentices. Skills/Competencies

Ability to interpret work instructions Ability to follow written and verbal directions Intermediate verbal and written communication skills Manual dexterity Detail-oriented Organizational skills Qualifications (Required):

Education: High School Diploma Certification: Journeyman's Card; or eight years related experience, technical degree and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience to acquire Journeyman's card.
