Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of alarm systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and customer service skills to ensure the safety and security of our clients' properties.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair various alarm systems, including intrusion detection systems (IDS), fire alarms, and CCTV surveillance systems.

Conduct thorough system design assessments to determine the best solutions for clients' security needs.

Utilize hand tools and power tools for installation and repairs of low voltage cabling and electrical components.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer networking, remote access software, and telecommunication systems.

Read and interpret schematics to effectively implement security system designs.

Provide field service support to clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Stay updated on industry standards, including Electrical Code (NEC) regulations, to ensure compliance during installations.

Collaborate with construction teams when integrating security systems into new builds or renovations.

Assist in alarm system sales by providing technical expertise and recommendations based on client needs.

Experience

Proven experience as a service technician in the security industry with hands-on knowledge of alarm systems and components.

Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to locks and locksmithing is .

Strong understanding of sensors, cabling techniques, and electrical experience is essential.

Experience with computer hardware and networking concepts is highly desirable.

Background in system design for security applications is a plus.

Previous exposure to surveillance technologies will be beneficial in this role.
