Supervise daily welding and fabrication operations across assigned projects Oversee safety, quality, and productivity within the welding department Train, mentor, and evaluate welders and fabrication staff to ensure consistent performance Review drawings, specifications, and weld symbols for accuracy before execution Coordinate with project managers and department leads to align priorities and resolve issues Monitor materials, equipment, and supplies to avoid downtime Ensure compliance with AWS, AISC, and internal quality standards Qualifications
5+ years of welding/fabrication experience in the structural steel industry Previous supervisory or lead role strongly preferred Strong knowledge of welding techniques, symbols, and inspection requirements Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Proven leadership and communication skills with experience managing teams Safety-first mindset with a track record of maintaining compliant, incident-free worksites AWS certifications or equivalent welding qualifications preferred Location
