Essential functions include instruction in classroom teaching courses, laboratory work, clinical work teaching students to treat patients, professional/scholarly activities related to the profession, and serving on department, college, and university committees. Minimum requirements include a Master's Degree in a health-related field, a valid Ohio Dental Hygiene License, a valid Ohio local anesthesia certificate, one academic year of teaching experience in a dental hygiene program within the past five years, and two years of clinical practice experience as a dental hygienist.
