high-performing Plant Manager
to lead our flagship facility in Maryville, Missouri, playing a pivotal role in scaling operations, delivering results, and leading a team that is driving change in the sustainable manufacturing space.
In this role you will:
Lead and manage all plant operations , including production, safety, maintenance, quality, logistics, and capital projects.
Champion a safety-first culture—ensuring full compliance with all EH&S regulations and promoting environmentally responsible operations.
Drive operational excellence through implementation of KPIs, continuous improvement programs (5S, Kaizen, Lean, Six SIGMA), and best‑in‑class manufacturing practices.
Collaborate with corporate teams to develop and execute strategic plant objectives, including budgets, forecasts, and performance targets.
Work cross‑functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Sustainability teams to ensure all products meet or exceed ISO and industry/customer specs (e.g., ISCC, environmental).
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team—providing coaching, direction, and support to frontline supervisors and staff.
Participate in facility startup and ramp‑up initiatives, identifying gaps, optimizing process flow, and implementing scalable systems.
Maintain a proactive preventative maintenance and turnaround program designed to minimize equipment downtime and ensure reliable plant operations.
Own plant P&L performance and reporting, ensuring alignment with company financial goals and operational KPIs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of senior plant or operations leadership in a manufacturing environment (chemical, petrochemical, carbon black, tire pyrolysis, or similar).
Demonstrated success managing teams of 30+ employees in a dynamic, production‑based environment.
Strong background in P&L responsibility, capital projects, and continuous improvement methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma).
Startup or plant ramp‑up experience highly desirable.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and people development skills.
Solid understanding of process operations, industrial safety, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency with digital tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and project/resource management systems.

Working Conditions This role operates within an active chemical recycling plant that includes exposure to carbon black, liquid hydrocarbon oils, and vapor streams. Protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators) will be required in designated areas. The facility includes indoor and outdoor operations, elevated equipment access, and industrial‑grade processing equipment.
