Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary:

Electrical CAD Technician experienced in producing and revising detailed electrical drawings for industrial facilities, including lift and pump stations. This role involves working closely with designers and engineers in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is required, along with strong technical drafting skills.

General Responsibilities:

Produce and maintain electrical drawings, including plans, elevations, schematics, wiring diagrams, and schedules.

Apply drafting and design standards such as NFPA 70 (NEC) and API RP 500 to ensure quality and compliance.

Coordinate with engineers and designers to update electrical design packages.

Utilize advanced drafting features in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Manage multiple drafting tasks under tight deadlines while adhering to client and company standards.

Required Education/Certifications:

Formal training in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation V8 or newer with certification.

Minimum of 3–5 years of professional, full-time experience in electrical drafting using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical and MicroStation.

Required/ Experience:

Experience producing detailed electrical drawings in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Familiarity with grounding plans, conduit & cable schedules, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
