Job Description
Strategic ACI is seeking a Senior-level Systems Engineer to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and drive complex systems engineering efforts across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner Federal Agencies. In this high-impact role, you'll shape the architecture and integration of mission-critical GEOINT systems that directly support U.S. and allied operations.
Responsibilities:
Mentor and guide
mid- and junior-level systems engineers across the full engineering lifecycle, including: Requirements development, Solution architecture and systems integration, Scheduling and service development, Testing, evaluation, and maintainability, as well as Reliability and resiliency engineering. Lead planning and analysis of user requirements and system architectures. Improve system performance through the review of cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints. Oversee the development of solution designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies. Translate mission and customer needs into actionable system and capability requirements. Support the allocation of requirements to architecture components and program execution. Guide systems integration across multiple platforms, programs, and agencies. Conduct technical assessments including:
Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies and Engineering Assessments. Assist in strategic planning and oversight of: Project management, Performance engineering, Risk management and Interface design. Operate at the enterprise level - integrating multiple systems, services, and processes within
Major Systems Acquisitions , spanning
organizational and agency boundaries. Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI Clearance. Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Other related STEM disciplines -OR- 12 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in lieu of a degree. 12+ years working experience in government or industry one or more of the following areas: DoD/Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition Processes, Requirements development processes, PPBES (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System), Systems engineering of large, complex
System of Systems (SoS)
or
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)/Cloud
environments). Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle. Desired:
Master's degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Other related STEM disciplines. Working knowledge of:
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
tools, languages, and processes and
Software Development Frameworks. Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Photogrammetry Remote sensing Image science Information sciences Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Geomatics Other related geospatial fields
Documented work experience in the
Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT)
field. In-depth knowledge of current:
