What You'll Do

Oversee all refractory and mold setup operations for both merchant and rebar mills, including coordination of materials, equipment, and personnel

Lead safety initiatives and ensure full compliance with the safety program

Promote and maintain high standards of housekeeping across work areas

Develop, revise, and enforce standard operating procedures

Conduct regular audits to ensure procedural compliance and effectiveness

Prepare monthly performance reports, monitor material usage and costs, and verify related billing

Plan and coordinate EAF relines and patching activities with production and maintenance teams, ensuring adequate materials and manpower

Direct and supervise mill service contractors during tear-out operations

Track Delta wear and collaborate with Maintenance to implement necessary adjustments

Manage ladle rotation schedules and oversee repair activities

Organize re-blocking and ladle tear-out operations

Maintain communication with Maintenance regarding annual inspections of tundishes and ladles

Lead improvement projects aimed at enhancing refractory and mold performance

What You'll Need Minimum 5 years of Refractory Experience

Experience managing people and budgets

Experience in Inventory Control

Proficient in MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint

Data entry in SAP/QMOS experience

Ability to track, chart, and improve processes

Your Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
