Position Title:
Proposal Writer (Part-Time)
Location:
On-site
Hours:
Flexible, ~15–30 hours/week
About the Role I run a small, independent business and I'm looking for a skilled Proposal Writer to help me respond to a variety of opportunities — including public RFPs, grants, and client proposals. This is a lean operation, so I need someone who can work independently, manage the full proposal process, and deliver polished, compliant submissions that stand out.

Analyze RFPs, RFQs, and grant opportunities to assess fit and extract key requirements
Develop and maintain a compliance matrix to ensure full alignment with submission criteria
Draft compelling, tailored proposals that meet technical, narrative, and formatting requirements
Manage the full RFP lifecycle — from opportunity analysis to submission and post-submission follow-up
Coordinate and lead internal review sessions (e.g., pink team, red team) to refine content and strategy
Organize and maintain reusable content, templates, and past performance materials
Track deadlines and manage submission schedules
Qualifications
Proven experience writing proposals for public and/or private sector opportunities
Deep understanding of the public RFP process, including procurement rules and compliance standards
Familiarity with proposal review structures (e.g., pink/red/gold team reviews)
Strong writing and editing skills — clear, persuasive, and professional
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and PDF formatting
Bonus Skills
Experience with government contracts, grants, or nonprofit funding
Basic layout/design skills for formatting proposals
Familiarity with CRM or project management tools
How to Apply Send a brief intro, your resume or LinkedIn profile, and 1–2 samples of proposals or similar writing to admin@whproposals.com and copy ojooluwatosinelkanah@gmail.com. I’m looking for someone reliable, responsive, and easy to work with.
