Davis Frost is looking for a Small Batch Laboratory Technician to join our team in Lynchburg . A Lab Technician will make and test paint samples for small batch custom colors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Make paint samples, requiring knowledge of raw material codes, product codes, and paint making equipment.Testing paint samples, including all wet tests as well as dry tests. Laboratory maintenance, including changing solvent tanks, cleaning spray booths, and trash removal Fill raw materials from factory stock Assist in quality control when necessary Maintain clean area and assist in general cleanup Ability to follow written and oral instructions Willingness to adhere to all Quality Management System procedures related to this position Compliance with all safety rules, including using PPE issued by the company Ability to work as a team player Ability to work overtime when necessary Other duties as assigned Q
UALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 55lbs. High school diploma or GED Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals Excellent math, reading and computer skills Experience in a lab setting strongly preferred but not required.
