Seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to support technical service projects focused on metal protection coatings. This role involves formulation, application, and testing of water-based and solvent-based coating systems.
Responsibilities
Mix and prepare coating formulations following defined recipes.
Apply coatings using HVLP spray guns and perform drawdowns.
Conduct physical and performance tests (viscosity, gloss, adhesion, corrosion, etc.).
Record, analyze, and report test data.
Maintain lab equipment, inventory, and safety standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or high school diploma with 5+ years of lab experience.
Hands‑on lab experience with coatings or paints.
Ability to wear a respirator hood and work with solvent‑based materials.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
