The Inventory & Logistics Manager is part of the Operations team. Operations is the core team that supports various company activities including portfolio expansions, technical support, product development and performance management. Reporting to the Global Head of Operations, the Inventory & Logistics Manager will be the main point of contact and responsible for all shipments around the globe, as well as maintaining accurate inventory counts, appropriate levels, and placing orders with our various suppliers when needed. Key Responsibilities
Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and contractors to ensure a seamless supply chain. Ensure inventory counts are accurate throughout multiple tracking systems, always keeping them up to date. Place orders with various international suppliers for machinery, tech equipment, supplies, etc. Utilize PO system for all orders. Liaise and negotiate shipping and delivery services with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery. Oversee worldwide shipping from multiple suppliers, ensuring equipment and hardware are delivered to existing sites and new installations efficiently and on time. Demonstrate an excellent understanding of importation rules and processes across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Be able to investigate, clarify, plan and manage importation process into new territories. Manage the equipment requirements for heavy item delivery, including cranes, forklifts, etc., for large items and shipping containers delivered to sites. Handle customs duty processes comprehensively, including HS codes and commercial terms. Liaise and manage network of customs brokers and oversee international bonds. Maintain relationships with multiple shipping companies and manage shipments from international suppliers into various locations and warehouses. Project manage global parcel initiatives, omni-channel carrier solutions, and maintain regional carrier networks to optimize delivery speed and efficiency. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements, and maintain metrics to assess performance and implement improvements. Manage and develop the logistics team structure. Qualifications
Proven experience as a Logistics Manager with a record of successful distribution and logistics management. Deep knowledge of global parcel and heavy load transportation models/networks and evolving service levels inclusive of air, sea and road freight. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams of contractors, work independently within a global and changing environment, and handle multiple projects of varying complexity levels. Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain or operations, including significant project management experience is essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficient in standard logistics software. Strong hands-on team management skills and the ability to work with a startup mindset in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Deltek VantagePoint and ClickUp are a plus. Salary
