Master Scheduler
Summary
As the Master Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the master production schedule to ensure alignment with customer demand, inventory targets, and manufacturing capacity. This role plays a critical part in balancing supply and demand, improving on-time delivery, optimizing inventory levels, and enhancing overall production efficiency.
Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and communicate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on sales forecasts, customer orders, production capacity, and material availability. Coordinate with Program Management Office, Operations, Procurement, Inventory and Business Development team to gather input and ensure schedule feasibility. Analyze demand trends, lead times, and capacity constraints to identify potential scheduling issues or risks. Work with Production to resolve capacity issues, resource allocation, and shift planning. Support new product launches by integrating project timelines into the master schedule. Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives in production planning and scheduling processes. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations or related field. In lieu of Degree, a minimum of 6+ years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment. APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is preferred. Prepare and present schedule status, risk, and health briefings to stakeholders and varying levels of management, including executive leadership. Knowledge of common scheduling and data analysis tools and methodologies, including advanced level operator of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP) Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edward, Infor Syteline, etc.) Deltek Costpoint is beneficial. Experience in DoD acquisition (or similar) and program management processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office setting. May occasionally be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workday.
