Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a company in Nassau County to fill an Accounts Payable position. This is a direct hire opportunity and will be paid an hourly rate of $33.65 per hour, overtime eligible. Onsite everyday but one day a week commute to western Suffolk facility. Hours are 8-4:30.
Job Responsibilities:
• Post business transactions, process invoices, and verify financial data for accounts payable records
• Clarify questionable invoice items, prices, or receiving signatures
• Assemble and review invoices for payment; issue checks
• Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices, and correspondence
• Obtain proper information/data regarding invoice payments
• Check vendor files for previous payments and assign voucher numbers
• Prepare vouchers with invoice details per accounting policies
• Reconcile bank statements
• Input daily bookkeeping and record keeping
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and confirm goods/services received before payment
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role (food manufacturing preferred)
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Strong data entry skills and a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills in English (Spanish a plus)
Pay Details:
$28.85 to $33.65 per hour
