Advanced Electrical Engineer
position that just opened in
Annapolis Junction, MD
. In this role, you'll be interacting with optical, mechanical and software design teams to assist in the overall development of systems. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of job-related experience.
Location : Annapolis Junction, MD Position : Advanced Electrical Engineer Contract : 24 months or longer Pay:
$ 75.28 /hour ( rate is depending on overall experience)
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
This position involves interacting with optical, mechanical and software design teams to assist in the overall development of systems Planning and leading electrical engineering root cause analysis for electrical issues Conducting experimental tests Evaluating results to formulate and implement solutions to issues Contributing to the generation and maintenance of documentation Specifying, selecting and qualifying active and passive components Developing and benchmarking system performance models Developing and implementing test procedures, and evaluating and selecting appropriate test instrumentation. What sets you apart:
Proven mixed signal circuit design and analysis skills. HyperLynx, Cadence, or LTspice preferred Knowledge of electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools. Xpedition or Allegro preferred Knowledge of electrical assembly and test, communications-related tools (BERT, sampling oscilloscope, OSA) High speed and mixed-signal RF design experience (A/D, D/A, opamp). Datarates 3 Gbps and above preferred Panel and power electronics design experience. SMPS, power entry modules, and transient suppression preferred Familiarity with software development. C++, Matlab, VHDL, Python preferred Experience with R&D rapid turnaround including concept, design, modeling, prototype, vendor interface, and test Experience leading small teams, interacting with customers, and presenting technical information to a variety of audiences Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design Collaborative team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
