Fleet Compliance Coordinator role at Mansfield Energy Corp Houston, TX. Mansfield Service Partners (MSP) operates a fleet of approximately 225 vehicles including LTL, FTL, Vacuum, Box, Stakebed and pickup trucks used in the delivery of motor fuels and lubricants with operations in Colorado, Minnesota, Ohio and Texas. The primary responsibility of this role is DOT compliance and maintenance of the transportation fleet.
Responsibilities
Registration, licensing and compliance of the fleet manage compliance with all regulations (Department of Transportation, FMCSA, etc.) and all licensing and registration requirements (including annual inspections) across the MSP fleet; promptly communicate driver safety or compliance issues to Business Unit management and work collaboratively to resolve. Maintenance of vehicles for the fleet coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, procurement programs for related items (tires, pumps, hoses, fittings, vendor selection for repairs including PMs, etc.), and facilities related to fleet operation; assist in tracking overall cost of ownership for each asset (fuel consumption, maintenance, major repairs, etc.). MSPs fleet includes FTL, LTL, Box, Vacuum, Stakebed and pickup trucks. Truck DOT files maintain list of citations/violations on MSP assets and ensure the correct parties address needs to achieve compliance. Tank Inspections (V&K, 5 year test, wet test, etc.) ensure controlled and detailed compliance on all truck loading requirements at loading facilities with expiration dates. Fleet Asset technology oversight of asset technologies including telematics, camera systems, inventory and maintenance software, SMARTruck. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for all licensing and permitting for all company owned and leased/rented assets. Responsible for the inventory of all Samsara and SLX devices. Coordinate with third-party companies reporting IFTA to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Track/manage/monitor asset placement working with internal groups (accounting, EHS, operations). Provide effective servant leadership and operate with a safety-first culture. Oversee procurement of preventive/repair maintenance and parts across all locations and track costs for each asset. Contribute to clear strategies to achieve measurable and financial goals for the Fleet in each region. Ensure internal policies and government safety and regulatory standards are met. Assist in developing and implementing strategies for maximizing fleet productivity and safety. Interact with Mansfield Service Partners departments daily to maximize profitability and customer retention. Daily communication with vendors and logistics; follow up on repairs. Organize and participate in weekly calls with vendors to discuss issues or concerns. Review invoices from vendors and dispute if necessary. File warranty claims as needed. Utilize PO issuing program. Assist in developing performance plans to achieve goals and implement corrective actions when necessary within teams. Strong mechanical knowledge of major truck brands (Kenworth, Freightliner, International, Peterbilt) tanker/truck components including PTOs, pumping units, Heil and Polar trailers, meters, calibration practices, weights and measures regulatory requirements. Collaborate with process improvement, change management, and quality improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Other duties as assigned. Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%. Minimum Education, Experience And Certification
Minimum five (5) years of experience in Fleet operations and supply chain in the trucking industry. Five (5) or more years in Fleet management. Two (2) or more years of leadership experience a plus for driving process improvement and cross-functional influence. Strong understanding of DOT compliance and FMCSA safety compliance required. Strong technical ability with respect to operations and the management of logistics. Strong working knowledge of mechanical components and the ability to understand our fleet. Bachelors or Masters degree in business, operations, or supply chain preferred. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Must possess effective written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities. Working knowledge of mechanical components within fleet (e.g., PTOs, pumps). Strong knowledge of meters, calibrations, weights & measures, and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting. Basic understanding of maintenance processes. Experience with fleet management software (FMS) and CMMS; Fleetio experience preferred.
