Automation Technician

to play an essential role in our Automation process.

The

Automation Technician

is responsible for designing, programming, repairing, and maintaining automated machinery or computer systems. Testing and troubleshooting these systems to ensure smooth process flows, also form part of this role.

Essential Functions:

Create new systems or modify existing ones.

Set up new systems or replace parts.

Check systems regularly and perform repairs.

Diagnose and isolate problems.

Run tests to ensure systems are working properly.

Stay current with new technologies and suggest improvements.

Wear proper personal protective equipment and adhere to and enforce all department safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Strong grasp of different technologies, software and machinery.

Strong analytical skills.

Must be able to creatively and effectively draw on problem-solving abilities to troubleshot issues and rectify them quickly.

Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and computers.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.

Capacity to oversee and maintain automated systems.

Adaptability and versatility to work well in a team.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and highly organized.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Working

Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of temperatures depending on the season. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequently standing, walking, and sitting.

Must be able to regularly talk in person and on the phone.
