Apply for an entry‑level Environmental Engineer role in the Environmental Remediation Practices group at AECOM’s Chicago or Lisle office. This position focuses on soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects.

Job Description The ideal candidate will learn new skills and methods on field and office assignments in a collaborative environment. This role supports soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects.
Tasks
Conduct field work, collecting soil, groundwater, and remediation system data, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging, and overseeing subcontractors.
Produce accurate documentation of operations, inspections, and compliance.
Prepare field documents, collect, process, and interpret field data.
Support office tasks, including data analysis and report preparation.
Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Travel to project locations, including driving and overnight stays.
Hiring Event Join AECOM for an exclusive, invitation‑only hiring event in Chicago on November 20‑21, 2025. The event includes a networking mixer Thursday evening from 6‑8 pm, interviews Friday at the Chicago office, and an opportunity to meet AECOM staff, students, and recent graduates.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
Pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
HAZWOPER 40‑Hour Training.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Proficiency with AutoCAD.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to Health and Safety.
Knowledge of environmental sampling practices.
Additional Information
Relocation assistance is not available.
Candidate will be requested to submit a cover letter.
Compensation Salary range: $52,000 to $57,000 per year, dependent on education, experience, and location.
