Job Description Job Description Job Description: Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases. Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., just in time purchases). Resolves discrepancies. Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized. Monitors cost and schedule of production orders against build plan. Production Planning Focus: Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with engineering, procurement, material handling, and manufacturing teams. Escalate issues proactively to ensure timely support for manufacturing. Customer Support: Ensure manufacturing teams have all necessary materials and support daily. Escalate and resolve delays or issues quickly. Hours: Monday to Friday 8 AM - 5 PM PST Some OT possible depending on the days. Qualifications : Motivated and proactive. Prior experience in Semi-Conductor would be helpful (Will accept medical or retail) Production Planning Experience: Minimum 3-4 years, ideally in a semiconductor environment ( but not required). SAP required Industry Background: Semiconductor ; retail experience also considered due to strong customer-facing skills. Education: No degree required; Bachelor's or APICS certification is a plus. Proactive Communication Must be assertive, vocal, and able to drive results. Should not wait for direction-must take initiative. Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently.
