CNC Lathe Machinist
Automation Personnel Services
is looking for a
CNC Lathe Machinist
for our company based in North Houston, TX...In this position your primary responsibility is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe machines to produce precision holes and cylindrical components. This role demands expertise in machining techniques like drilling, boring, and turning to meet tight tolerances and ensure high-quality finishes.
Pay Rate $20-$30 (depending on experience upon interview)
Schedule and Hours
Monday to Friday 06:00am to 2:30pm (OT as needed, mandatory)
Hours are subject to change and may vary depending on weekly workload.
CNC Lathe Machinist Duties and Responsibilities • Set up CNC lathes using engineering blueprints and specifications. • Program and edit G-code or conversational code (e.g., Mazatrol, Fanuc). • Perform hole machining using: • Drilling for fast, initial cuts. • Boring for precision and surface finish. • Turning for small-diameter holes with tight tolerances. • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges). • Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine maintenance. • Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust tooling as needed. • Follow safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.
CNC Lathe Machinist Qualifications and Requirements • 3-5 or more years of CNC lathe experience, preferably with hole machining expertise. • Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T. • Familiarity with tooling setups and CNC controls (Fanuc, Mazak, Okuma). • Strong math and problem-solving skills. • Ability to lift and maneuver parts and stand for extended periods.
Job Type Full-time, Temp to Permanent
