JOB SUMMARY
Our Mechanical Engineer's play a key role in supporting low-volume, high-complexity coil manufacturing within an FDA-regulated environment. This position involves providing extensive technical and process support across multiple departments, including Line Production, R&D, Service, Quality, Purchasing, and Planning. This position plays a large role in supporting and troubleshooting 3D printers used in the manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks. This multifaceted role requires both independent work and collaboration within cross-functional teams. The engineer will also lead projects, managing them autonomously and driving them to successful completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide continual leadership to improve quality and reduce cost of manufacturing processes as a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team Management of Manufacturing Engineering projects Drafting and Mechanical Design - including:
ECO drafting support Design and creation of tooling and fixtures Tooling and fixturing design improvements Supplying mechanical and materials expertise to the team
Life-cycle support, including Production, Process and Service support
New product introduction (NPI) support Process improvements and Continuing Engineering Supplier, Vendor and Customer technical support Assembly documentation
Mechanical assembly troubleshooting Traditional manufacturing engineering, including documentation and change orders (ECOs) Provide continual leadership to improve quality and reduce cost of manufacturing processes as a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team Management of Manufacturing Engineering projects Drafting and Mechanical Design - including:
CO drafting support Design and creation of tooling and fixturing Continuing Engineering mechEanical design changes Supplying mechanical and materials expertise to the team
Life-cycle support, including Production, Process and Service support
New product introduction (NPI) support Process improvements and Continuing Engineering Supplier, Vendor and Customer technical support Assembly documentation Continuing Engineering mechanical design changes
Mechanical assembly troubleshooting Traditional manufacturing engineering, including documentation and change orders (ECOs) QUALIFICATIONS
Education
4 year degree, with BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred Required Experience and Skills
At least two years' experience working in a professional environment Fixture Design Experience Experience with Engineering Change Orders Experience writing Work Instructions/Manufacturing Routers Recent college graduates will be considered for this position with a minimum of one substantive professional internship, co-op or university lab. Competency with SolidWorks or other drafting software - minimum one year experience Competency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) Fluent in English with above average writing skills Preferred Experience and Skills
A preferred candidate will have experience in one or more of the areas noted below. An ideal candidate will have Project Management experience.

New Product Introduction Design for Manufacturability (DFM); Design to Cost (DtC) Process Improvement and/or Continuing Engineering Process validation, including development of validation protocols Production line troubleshooting - assembly 5S and Lean manufacturing
Automated Assembly experience
LabView software programming Automation technologies Design for Automation
Production Support experience
Competency in any ERP or PLM software (SAP, Agile, Dynamics GP, etc.) Writing assembly manuals Instructor experience (any subject) Familiarity with Change Orders (ECO) Quality Management System Support, including knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO, FDA, etc.) Purchasing and Vendor support
