Associate Family Law Attorney
The Intersect Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced
Associate Family Law Attorney
to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and be passionate about helping clients navigate complex legal matters such as divorce, child custody, support, and domestic violence. This role involves direct client interaction, litigation, and collaboration with other legal professionals.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and adoption.
Conduct client consultations and provide legal advice tailored to individual cases.
Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and court orders.
Attend and advocate in court hearings, mediations, and depositions.
Manage a caseload independently while collaborating with senior attorneys and support staff.
Negotiate settlements and work toward resolution outside of court when possible.
Stay current with changes in family law and apply them effectively to cases.
Maintain detailed case files and documentation in compliance with firm standards.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active member in good standing with the state bar.
2–5 years of experience in family law preferred (civil litigation experience considered).
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to manage emotionally sensitive cases with empathy and professionalism.
Familiarity with financial documents, business valuations, and tax concepts is a plus.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
