Buyer/Planner – SPX Technologies

SPX Aids to Navigation Buyer will manage purchasing activities with an annualized spend of approximately 55 million for the Americas. The role orders goods and services from qualified suppliers, monitors inventory levels daily using SAP, and maintains min/max levels of supermarket stock with the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) planning tool. The Buyer works with the Quality team to issue RMA’s to suppliers for defective components, participates in quarterly supplier scorecard reviews, supports risk management, and gathers information to support strategic sourcing initiatives. Responsibilities & Duties

Analyze usage, supplier lead times, and material availability to ensure zero downtime on the production floor. Share usage and stock levels with key supply chain partners weekly to promote a Just-in-Time inventory management approach. Support inventory turns targets by ordering according to Lean principles of small, frequent delivery batches from suppliers. Develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels in the organization. Support special supply chain projects and initiatives. Analyze and manage supply chain data by leveraging SAP and PFEP. Support and proactively manage material obsolescence processes. Communicate verbally and in written correspondence with a high level of professionalism. Communicate potential supply chain and supplier issues to leadership with urgency and propose solutions. Maintain a safe and organized work area and support all safety policies. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

High level of energy and initiative. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing global supply chain sourcing processes, tools, and practices. Experience with export/import regulations. Strong analytical, statistical, and problem‑solving skills. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate level Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information. Knowledge of MPS, CP, BOM, and MRP. Ability to manage projects and meet targets. Excellent time management and organization skills. Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing organizations. Experience with PCB design/procurement. Preferred Education / Experience

Experience with SAP ERP system. CPM/CPIM or similar certification. Benefits
