Werfen North America . We are seeking a results-driven Buyer/Planner/Procurement Specialist to perform daily activities related to purchasing raw materials, supplies, and finished items. Responsibilities include generation and maintenance of purchase orders, production orders, and placing and expediting orders. You will also monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and supplies, both purchased and produced. This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization by Immucor, Inc. Key Responsibilities Plan manufactured and purchased material at the most economical quantity to support demand. Sourcing for products from different business partners and identifying savings opportunities. Creating, placing, and expediting orders. Developing best?practice procurement/planning methods and driving continuous process improvement.

Additional Responsibilities

Initiate and participate in supplier performance reviews, add new suppliers, and maintain supplier database, certifications, and files. Record adverse performances and initiate and maintain vendor corrective actions. Maintain the Approved Service Provider List and evaluate as needed. Understand and adhere to quality system requirements and ISO13485. Suggest second sourcing opportunities. Work closely with Operations and other departments that interact with Supply Chain. Meet Kanban requirements and fully support qualifications/validations. Ensure continual supply of parts to support all plant needs. Monitor OTD of suppliers and report trends that may impact manufacturing. Ensure ERP system dates are updated timely to allow accurate delivery dates. Hold suppliers and manufacturing partners accountable to due dates. Check master data for accuracy and maintain pricing, lead times, SS levels, planner codes, supplier information, ASL, BOM, route data, and PO status. Ensure all POs and invoices are closed and free of issues for pricing, quantities, etc. Evaluate RM SS levels and recommend adjustments quarterly. Serve as first line of defense for quality, pricing, and delivery issues, escalating when necessary. Monitor inventory of discontinued items to ensure appropriate people know run?out dates and validation plans are on track. Support CIP projects, including re?evaluation of all suppliers and service providers, QCS creation, savings opportunities, etc. Suggest improvements and participate in improvement projects. Generate production schedules & raw material requirements based on SIOP outcomes. Release production work orders to Manufacturing. Analyze sales performance and establish production and QC priorities.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related field. Working knowledge of MRP/MPS and computerized inventory control systems. Knowledge of material master maintenance, BOMs, routings/recipes, and work centers. Prior purchasing experience; experience in FDA regulated industry a plus. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data visualization. Strong analytical and problem?solving skills. Advanced mathematical skills. Prior exposure to or training in APICS CPIM, Lean/Six Sigma Certification is preferred.
