The Role Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems, determines solutions, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for product coordination. Assesses product needs and provides technical training and product briefings with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders. Acts as a local on-site representative to the customer organization.
Must Have
Apprentice Certification, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 6+ years of progressive technical, professional and/or supervisory experience.
Professional understanding of construction, manufacturing processes, and operations.
Strong knowledge of welding and inspection processes in a shipyard environment.
Leadership and communication skills to discuss welding technical issues with deck plate customers and to provide welding directions in a timely manner.
Organizational skills and on-site availability to support internal and external customers.
Nice to Have
Graduate status with 10 years of shipyard experience in welding or welding engineering.
Knowledgeable in welding equipment and welding quality requirements.
