Firehawk Aerospace is pioneering the development of hybrid and solid rocket motor systems, combining advanced additive manufacturing techniques with innovative engineering to deliver safer, more reliable, and cost-effective solutions for space exploration and defense. We are seeking a talented Industrial Engineer to join our team and contribute to the optimization of our manufacturing processes and systems across multiple test and manufacturing sites. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, design, and quality engineering, to implement lean principles, optimize workflows, and support the production of hybrid and solid rocket propulsion systems. Responsibilities

Model manufacturing operations to include process flows, value stream maps, and CAD drawings to graphically show production processes and material movement. Calculate resource utilization to identify constraints and develop potential solutions. Assist in development of factory roadmaps and infrastructure improvement plans and planning the integration of new products and technologies. Support capital equipment planning efforts. Work with EH&S to improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics. Conduct capacity analyses and resource utilization assessments to support production planning and scheduling. Design and implement lean manufacturing initiatives, including value stream mapping, 5S, and continuous improvement projects. Support the integration of automation and advanced manufacturing technologies into production processes. Assist manufacturing and design engineers by evaluating and recommending tools, equipment, and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing environment. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or production support in aerospace, defense, or a related industry. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including statistical analysis and process modeling. Experience generating and maintaining 2D factory layouts (AutoCAD or similar). Experience with manufacturing process documentation, including process flow diagrams. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued security clearance. Ability to travel (10%). Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of MilStd4145 (explosive safety). Experience in the aerospace or defense industry, particularly in the manufacturing of rocket motors or other energetic systems. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques for process optimization. Certification in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies. Familiarity with automation and robotics in manufacturing processes. Experience with PDM/PLM systems (Windchill/Deltek). What We Offer
