Summary:
The Quality Manageris responsible forleading all aspects of quality at the manufacturing facility including the implementation and the execution of inspection, testing and evaluation methods to ensure that the product adheres to thecustomersrequirements.
Roles and Responsibilities: Builda strong teamthrough coaching, mentoring, specific training, and performance evaluations. Support the development of quality goals/performance metrics and benchmarks. Identifyprocess enhancement opportunities within the operations manufacturing site. Conduct regular internal process audits, GEMBA walksand assessments. Proactivelyidentifyand mitigate potential quality risk. Understand customers' requirements and be able to translate them to develop an effective quality control process. Lead and manage the Nonconforming product Process and make sure all quality processes are clearly defined and implemented. Participate as the quality representative for the Internal Material Review Board process. Manage all operations that affect quality. Lead and guidequalitysupervisor & inspectors. Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output. Report all quality issues to the Quality Directorand adhere to HR and Quality Directors policies and Company procedures. Develop and reviewcurrent quality standards and policies for accuracy and improvement. Manage records of quality reports, statistical qualityreviewsand relevant documentation. Establish andmonitorrelevant metrics (KPIs)like COPQ and FPYand implement actions to improve quality performance, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. Take the lead in performing root cause analysis on customer returns and field failures. Create, review and update quality procedures and work instructions. Mentor/Supervise direct reports, coordinates, and checks work activities, when applicable. Support customer visits and audits and prepare site for audit readiness. Recommends, leads, and implements projects such as operational process controls/process development. Responsible for conducting quality team meetings, preparation of metrics and materials. Pro-actively look for opportunities for improvements and develop new efficient procedures. Provide training for quality system requirements and implementation. Responsible for calibration program for all inspection and testequipement Qualifications
Bachelor's degreerequired, engineering major preferred. Proven leadership in Quality Assurance role. Minimum10 years' relevant work experience Experience managing a large team of non-exemptinspectors. Direct Manufacturing experience Experience with APQP methodologies Akeen eye for detail and a result driven approach. Excellent team management, leadership, and organizational skills Experience using Microsoft office, excel, powerpoint. Six Sigma Greenor BlackBelt a Plus Lead ISO 9001:2015 Auditor Certification a Plus. Must be highly organized,possessstrong attention todetail. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Detailed-oriented with a commitment to quality. Competent in8Dproblem solving and multitasking, self-motivated. 5s implementation experience a plus. Follow and instill good Safety Practicesin accordance withShoals' objectives CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES PREFERRED:
Certification in Six Sigma, SPC and ISO 9001:2015is preferred. Preferred Certification in ASQ as a Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Reliability Engineer.
