has an immediate opening for a
full-time
Structural Engineer
who will apply structural engineering skills and finite element modeling in practical "Construction Engineering" applications such as Bridge Demolition Plans, Bridge Erection Plans, Temporary Retaining Wall Designs, Anchor Designs, Design-Build Bridge and Wall designs, and CADD.
This position earns a
competitive salary

full-time schedule
is typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with some variation based on project needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES OF THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER POSITION
Collaborates with and provides structural engineering support to contractors.
Designs and develops details that will be used by contractors in the field.
Performs structural engineering calculations.
Analyzes and designs steel or concrete beams, slabs, culverts, walls, and other structures utilizing programs such as STAAD, LPile, Shoring Suite, MathCAD, Excel, Microstation, or PennDOT Design Programs.
Performs structural finite element modelling.
Creates CAD sketches.
Assists engineering team with preparing construction documents and working on projects and tasks.
Travels to and observes construction sites.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this position you do not need to have any professional engineering experience, although it is helpful.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program.
Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
0-5 years of professional engineering experience.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) License , but not required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient or familiar with structural analysis and computer modeling software such as STAAD MathCAD, MicroStation, or AutoCAD.
