About the Company We are a leading plastics manufacturer committed to innovation, sustainability, and quality. Our materials and components serve diverse industries including packaging, consumer goods, and medical devices. We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Buyer to join our team and help ensure we have the right materials, at the right time, and at the right price. What You’ll Do As our Buyer, you’ll play a critical role in our supply chain. You’ll be responsible for sourcing raw materials and components, negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and supporting production timelines. Key Responsibilities: Source and procure raw materials (e.g., resins, additives, packaging) and MRO items. Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules. Monitor inventory and forecast needs based on production schedules. Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams. Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and sustainability initiatives. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience in purchasing, preferably in plastics. Strong understanding of raw materials used in plastics production. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. ERP system experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, PLEX). Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field. Knowledge of sourcing recycled or sustainable materials. Previous supplier interfacing experience.
