Education
Currently enrolled in a master's level mental health clinical program and actively working towards internship hour requirements under accredited supervision.
Experience
Preferred candidates have three to five years of experience working with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), serious mental illness (SMI), or seriously emotionally disturbed (SED) populations. Experience with diverse and high-risk client groups and integrated care approaches is highly valued.
Requirements
Provide outpatient behavioral health treatment including individual, family, and group therapy under supervision. Conduct intakes, diagnostic assessments, and mental status exams, updating every 90 days or as needed. Develop compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Support crisis intervention and safety planning collaboratively with clinical staff. Engage in care coordination with clients, families, treatment teams, and community agencies. Participate in training, supervision, and competency reviews regularly. Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all services provided. Demonstrate integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence in all professional interactions. Must hold all necessary trainings and certifications for specialized care delivery, including Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credentials. Valid driver's license and successful background checks required. Preferred Skills
Training in evidence-based therapies such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Substance Use Disorder licensure is a plus.
