7 straight days, 7 straight off (no rotation)

Job Description: An IC&E Technician in a power plant maintains, installs, and repairs all instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment to ensure the plant's efficient and reliable operation. This includes calibrating instruments, troubleshooting electrical systems, and working with both high-level control systems (like PLCs and DCS) and basic electrical components, all while following strict safety protocols. Key responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, reading technical drawings, and responding to emergencies.
Key responsibilities Perform inspection, testing, and repair of all instruments, control systems, and electrical equipment.
Diagnose and fix issues in control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and instrument loops (temperature, pressure, flow).
Calibrate instruments like transmitters, probes, and meters to ensure accuracy.
Install, test, and repair a wide range of electrical components, including motors, transformers, relays, and distribution systems up to 4,160 volts.
Work with and maintain plant hardware and software, including turbine controls, servers, and networking systems.
Adhere to strict safety protocols, including electrical safety and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand and work on complex systems.
Complete all required electronic and written records for work performed.
Be available to respond to plant emergencies on a 24/7 basis, which may include overtime. Required skills and qualifications
HS Diploma or GED
Typically requires 1-3 years of hands-on experience with instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems in an industrial setting.
Must have knowledge of electrical codes (like the National Electric Code), control systems, and diagnostic equipment.
