Front End Software Developer – ASRC Federal
ASRC Federal is a leading government contractor focused on space, public health, and defense missions. This role supports a new weather program at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, at the William J. Hughes Technical Center.
Position Details
Full‑time, on‑site
Location: Egg Harbor Township, NJ (commutable distance required)

Job Function: Engineering and Information Technology
Responsibilities
Analyze, design, develop, test, integrate, install, and maintain complex software systems.
Provide 2nd‑level engineering support for weather systems.
Support software development/testing/integration/troubleshooting activities.
Review and comment on system engineering documents, system requirement documents, and software testing documents.
Attend design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
Maintain and improve existing software in Linux environments.
Provide end‑user functionality support via helpdesk.
Qualifications
Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular framework, Node.js.
Object‑oriented programming, client/server development, cross‑browser development.
Unix/Linux operating systems (RHEL).
Familiarity with web application technologies: HTML5/XHTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, JSON.
Experience with databases and interfacing to client‑side interfaces.
Strong problem‑solving and research skills.
Preferred Skills
DevSecOps practices, Docker, GitLab, OpenShift.
Message queuing (JMS, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).
Automated unit tests (Selenium), API integration.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (30 semester hours in math, statistics, CS plus 5 years related work experience); OR
Master’s degree with at least 30 semester hours in math, statistics, CS and 3 years related work experience.
All non‑US degrees must have a US equivalency certificate provided by the candidate.
Citizenship / Security Clearance
Must be a US citizen, US Green Card holder, or have non‑immigrant work authorization (VISA).
Must have resided in the US for at least three consecutive years.
Candidates must obtain FAA Public Trust security clearance (FAA background investigation).
Company currently does not sponsor candidates.
Relocation
Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within commutable distance to Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Work Environment
